Offit Kurman Grows Business Law and Transactions Practice with Addition of Two Attorneys

Bethesda, MD – (August 14, 2023) – Offit Kurman is pleased to welcome Mark G. Wendaur IV and Clay Blackburn to the firm’s Business Law and Transactions practice group.

Mark G. Wendaur IV joins the firm as Counsel resident in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. Wendaur has a diverse corporate and transactional practice, specializing in mergers, acquisitions, commercial agreements, corporate governance, venture capital, and corporate restructurings. He’s also well-versed in commercial real estate and energy matters, including transactions, financing, land use, and zoning. Wendaur serves clients of all sizes, from individuals to government entities, offering strategic business counsel to help them achieve their objectives. Previously, he ran a small law firm aiding small businesses, startups, real estate developers, and government bodies in transactions and litigation. He’s also worked at a Philadelphia law firm serving domestic and international companies.

Wendaur obtained his B.A. from Allegheny College and his J.D. from Widener School of Law.

Clay Blackburn joins the firm as an Associate in the Bethesda, Maryland office. He represents companies of all sizes, boards of directors and investors in a wide variety of complex corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, strategic growth investments, leveraged buyouts, reorganizations and joint ventures. Blackburn also has substantial experience advising clients on corporate governance issues, employee compensation, securities law and regulatory compliance and structuring and negotiating ownership agreements.

Blackburn received his B.S. from the United States Naval Academy and his J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.
