Offit Kurman Welcomes Three Associates to the Firm
Offit Kurman is pleased to announce that three associates have joined the firm in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Family Law and Estates and Trusts.
Caroline Callahan has joined the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice in its Tysons Corner, Virginia office. She focuses her practice on civil litigation cases, including premise or product liability and contract dispute matters.
Ms. Callahan litigates cases from pre-suit investigations through post-judgment motions. She also goes through the mediation process with her clients to either resolve the case or narrow the issues.
Ms. Callahan received her B.A., cum laude, from Tufts University and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
Amanda E. Rasheed has joined the firm’s Family Law practice in East Hanover, New Jersey. Ms. Rasheed represents clients in a variety of family matters, including child and spousal support, divorce, alimony, equitable distribution and custody. She handles pre-marital agreements, post-judgment, pendente lite support, college expenses, third-party actions, orders to show cause and enforcement matters.
Previously, Ms. Rasheed served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. Mark T. Janeczko, J.S.C. in Bergen County Superior Court, Chancery Division, Family Part.
Ms. Rasheed is a member of the Bergen County Bar Association, the New Jersey State Bar Association and the Barry I. Croland Family Law Inn of Court. She is also an Early Settlement Panelist in Bergen County.
Ms. Rasheed received her B.A., cum laude, from Seton Hall University and her J.D., cum laude, from Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law.
John “Jack” Sweeney has joined the firm’s Estates and Trusts practice in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office. Mr. Sweeney works with individuals, families, businesses, special needs families, incapacitated individuals, fiduciaries and administrators on all facets of estate planning and estate administration. His practice includes gifting strategies, advanced trusts, business representation, civil litigation, corporate law and business formation and elder law issues.
Mr. Sweeney received his B.A. from Temple University and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.
