Leonard Brazil is a principal attorney in Offit Kurman’s Labor & Employment practice group. Mr. Brazil is an experienced employment trial attorney in jury and bench trials in State and Federal Courts on a broad range of employment claims. He also represents employers in administrative proceedings. Maintaining a proactive approach, Mr. Brazil advises companies on how to initiate anticipatory measures to avoid employment claims. He does so by providing substantial advice and counsel in such areas as compliance with wage and hour laws, establishing and enforcing employment policies and procedures and assisting in pre-termination evaluations. Mr. Brazil performs employment audits by conducting extensive reviews of employers’ personnel practices and procedures to identify any violations of federal and state employment laws. Additionally, he is an active lecturer at seminars on a wide variety of employment issues such as wage and hour, discrimination, harassment and retaliation issues.
Mr. Brazil is actively involved in the American Business Trial Lawyers Association, a member of the Employment Section of the Los Angeles County Bar and a past chairman of the Community Advisory Committee for Special Education for the West San Gabriel Valley School Districts. He has also served as a Special Olympics Coach and is past treasurer of a fundraising division of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
