Offit Kurman CLE | Intellectual Property as an Asset
March 16, 2021 at 12:00 pm EDT

March 16, 2021
12pm-1pm
The alarming number of COVID-19-related bankruptcies has prompted an increasingly important question: who owns the IP? The impact of Intellectual Property (IP) law extends beyond the filing of patent applications. Rather, intellectual property needs to be viewed properly as a unique type of asset. As such, IP should be an important consideration for financial professionals and a range of legal practices, including business transactions, family law, estate planning, and more. This course provides an essential foundation to IP law, including rights, infringement, and valuation.
