Join us for an overview of key considerations for FY 2024 (2023-2024) cap season and practice pointers for employers preparing for submitting applications.
Employers that are considering sponsoring foreign nationals for H-1B work visas must do so in early March 2023. Human resources professionals tasked with immigration know the importance of vigilance in this time of changing rules and regulations. The H-1B program has seen a number of notable changes recently, including the implementation of electronic registration and a reversal in the lottery selection process.
Offit Kurman immigration attorney Mohammad Ali Syed (Mo) will be joined by Ms. Dwan Keith in this lively discussion. Dwan is the Human Resource Manager for System Automation, one of the nation's leading providers of regulatory management software and services to government and private-sector organizations.
Dwan and Mo, having worked on immigration matters together in the past, will discuss:
• Nuts and bolts of the H-1B electronic registration – lessons learned from last year
• Impact of potential new regulations
• Exploring exemptions from the lottery
• Issues when transferring from another H-1B employer
• Preparing cases to avoid difficult Requests for Evidence (RFEs)
• Successfully responding to RFEs
