New Inheritance Rights for Unmarried Couples

Featuring Steve Shane, Offit Kurman

In this month’s Breakfast Bar Speaker Series, Steve Shane will discuss the new inheritance rights for unmarried couples. Before this new law, Maryland provided no inheritance rights to couples who chose not to marry. Maryland’s unmarried couples under the new law now have gained the right to inherit from each other through intestacy while avoiding the inheritance tax. Register to learn more.
