Washingtonian Names 7 Offit Kurman Attorneys Top Divorce Lawyers and Top Financial Advisors

In addition to handling matrimonial matters in the traditional negotiation and litigation modes, she has been trained in Collaborative Law and is a member of the Collaborative Divorce Association, Inc.  Ms. Donohue also has an interest in the practice of adoption law.

Cheryl Hepfer is a highly-regarded attorney who has practiced family law for more than 40 years.  She has been rated by her peers and is listed in Best Lawyers in America and as a top lawyer in the Washingtonian, Bethesda Magazine, and Super Lawyers.  She is a past president of both the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and the International Academy of Family Lawyers.

Catherine H. “Kate” McQueen is a family law attorney and Chair of the Family Law Practice Group. She is licensed to practice in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. Ms. McQueen focuses her practice on the many legal issues that impact families, including all the issues arising out of a divorce, such as custody, child support, alimony, and other financial and property issues.  She also has extensive experience in guardianship matters for children and incapacitated adults, including assisting clients in petitioning for guardianship, serving as court-appointed counsel for alleged disabled persons, and serving as court-appointed guardian for individuals when their family members or friends are unwilling or unable to do so.

Families with whom Ms. McQueen has worked describe her as a compassionate and responsive problem solver who calmly guides clients through the often difficult and emotionally fraught path of family disputes. Michelle L. Evans focuses her practice on estate planning and trust and estate administration in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia.Ms. Evans assists clients with creating estate plans to meet their financial and personal objectives.  Such planning often includes the preparation of Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Durable General Powers of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directives.

Ms. Evans dedicates a substantial amount of her time to estate and trust administration matters.  Her administration practice includes directing fiduciaries through the probate process in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia, and assisting with the preparation of inventories and accounts.  Ms. Evans prepares federal, D.C., and Maryland estate tax returns for taxable estates as well as federal estate tax returns to elect portability of the federal estate tax exclusion amount.

Lauren A. Ms. Jenkins is a sought-after lecturer and author on estate planning, estate administration, and trust topics. She has been a featured speaker at numerous seminars, symposia, and programs hosted by industry groups, bar associations, and government agencies. Her writing has appeared in publications such as Thomson Reuters, Virginia Lawyer, and Probate & Property. Alison K. Noll primarily focuses her practice on tax and estate planning, trust and estate administration, real estate matters, and premarital and post-marital agreements. She assists individuals and families, including many small business owners, with the preparation of comprehensive estate plans, including all types of revocable and irrevocable trusts, each specifically tailored to her client’s individual needs.
