News: Press Release
Voytek Jackowski to Speak About Complex Construction Contracts at the NYC Bar CLE Program
For Immediate Release
New York, NY | March 13, 2019
Every construction project brings numerous unexpected challenges and surprises. Fortunately, there is an answer for owners, developers, designer professionals, construction managers, and other construction project stakeholders looking to minimize their risk exposure. The key, as attorney Voytek Jackowski explains, is understanding drafting considerations and risk-shifting provisions in real estate development agreements.
This Thursday, March 14th, 2019, Voytek will speak as a panelist at Construction Contracts 201: Contracting for the Complex Construction Project – A Roadmap to the Key Clauses You Need to Know, a Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program presented by the New York City Bar.
The program follows the Construction Contracts 101 series, providing participants with information about clauses in complex construction projects. Attendees will learn remedies to common construction issues as well as best practices for negotiating and drafting contracts to minimize the impact of negative developments in the lifecycle of a project. The program will conclude with an update on current legal trends, recent touchstone decisions, and coming legal challenges in the construction industry, along with guidance on how to address these changes.
Led by program chair Robert C. Angelillo, Voytek will join fellow attorneys Todd A. Bakal, Jeffrey R. Escobar, Sarah Sparer, and Richard R. Volack for the presentation. The program will take place from 9:00am–12:30 pm, and will be offered in-person as well as via live webcast. It is eligible for 4.0 CLE Credits in New York, New Jersey, and California, and 3.0 CLE Credits in Pennsylvania.
