Thomas Major Presented CLE Webinar on Recent NJ Rules of Court Amendments

Iselin, NJ | July 1, 2019

Last year, the New Jersey Supreme Court adopted many amendments to the Rules of Court. These amendments affect attorneys in nearly every practice area. Many attorneys have not yet reviewed these amendments and although several litigants — as well as members of the Bar, Judiciary, and various Supreme Court practice committees — offered their comments to help shape the new rules, few people are certain of their potential impact.

To help civil practitioners in New Jersey understand the new Rules of Court, Offit Kurman attorney Thomas J. Major presented an on-demand webinar, which you can find here.

Over the course of 50 minutes, Mr. Major reviewed the amendments most likely to affect civil practitioners and explained how each new rule differs from what came before. He also explored the rationale for each change and contrasted the adopted amendments against their original proposals.

“New Jersey Court Rules After the 2018 Amendments” is pre-approved for one General continuing legal education (CLE) credit in New Jersey and one Professional Practice CLE credit in New York. The program streamed live on Thursday, June 27th, 2019 at 11:00am EDT.
