Offit Kurman Welcomes Three Associates to the Firm

Offit Kurman is pleased to welcome associates Summer Abel, Scott Hester and Spencer Hill to the firm.

Summer Abel joins the Family Law practice in the Bethesda office. She focuses her practice on divorce, custody and visitation, spousal and child support, property division, and division of retirement benefits. Ms. Abel serves as both an advocate and a counselor through all stages of litigation. Outside of the courtroom, she is also trained in mediation and other collaborative law solutions to resolve complex family law issues.

Ms. Abel received her B.S. from the University of South Florida and her J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law.

Scott Hester joins the Real Estate practice in the Charlotte office. Mr. Hester focuses his practice on real estate matters related to commercial and residential properties, drafting and negotiating contracts, leases, deeds of trusts, promissory notes, liens and settlement agreements. He regularly conducts title searches and closings for purchasers and facilitates rezonings, annexations and subdivisions for land developers.

Mr. Hester also works with clients in the areas of construction law, civil litigation and business law and has experience litigating and advising his clients on matters regarding breach of contract, real property disputes, evictions, summary ejectments and employment discrimination.

He received his B.A. from North Carolina State University and his J.D. from Campbell University Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law.

Spencer Hill joins the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice in the Philadelphia office, focusing his client work on complex civil litigation matters. His experience includes environmental litigation, white-collar criminal defense, internal investigations and securities litigation. He also advises and represents clients in corporate governance issues, breach of contract claims and education law.

Mr. Hill received his B.S. and M.S. from Chestnut Hill College and his J.D., summa cum laude, from The University of Akron School of Law. He also received his LL.M in Trial Advocacy from Temple University — Beasley School of Law, LL.M. During law school, he served as the Assistant Editor of the Akron Law Review.
