Offit Kurman Welcomes Principal Jonathan Berck

Offit Kurman is pleased to welcome Principal Jonathan Berck to the firm.

Jonathan S. Berck joins the Business Law and Transactions practice in the White Plains, New York office. Mr. Berck maintains a general corporate practice, with emphasis on domestic and international business transactions, counseling and formation of small and medium businesses, business succession planning and commercial real estate. He regularly represents and advises his clients in matters concerning domestic and international agreements, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project finance and captive insurance companies. Mr. Berck has extensive experience in international project and structured finance, private equity and securities, and has worked with clients across the U.S., the U.K., Germany, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kenya and in other jurisdictions. He also represents clients in the cannabis industry and is a frequent writer and presenter on topics related to cannabis law.

Mr. Berck received his B.A., Highest Honors, from Swarthmore College and his M.A from Columbia University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. He graduated with a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School and attended University of Tuebingen, Germany as a Fulbright Scholar. He is fluent in German.
