Offit Kurman Names New Co-Leaders of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee

July 20, 2022 - Bethesda, MD -- Offit Kurman has announced that Principal Tanya Freeman and eKnowledge and Innovation Manager Desiree Gareau will be co-leaders of Offit Kurman’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (D.E.I.) Committee. In this role, they will be jointly responsible for elevating D.E.I. awareness, developing D.E.I. programs, and implementing D.E.I. initiatives as outlined in the firm’s strategic objectives.

Tanya Freeman has held numerous leadership roles in organizations focused on promoting diversity. She currently is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association Family Law Executive Committee and serves as the Co- Chair of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Desiree Gareau has served on Offit Kurman’s Women’s Initiative Recruitment and Retention Subcommittee, the firm’s Diversity Committee’s Steering Committee, and its Internal Networking and Subspecialty Group. She also led D.E.I. initiatives for previous employers.
