Offit Kurman M&A Group Represents Thomas Point Capital LLC in Franchise Acquisition

August 13, 2019 | Towson, MD The attorneys of Offit Kurman’s mergers and acquisitions (M&A) team are pleased to share news of a recent transaction successfully closed for a client of the firm. Thomas Point Capital, LLC has acquired M&R Consulting, LLC, DBA Home Instead Senior Care. Attorney Michael N. Mercurio presented Thomas Point Capital, the buyer, throughout the transaction.

Since 1994, Home Instead Senior Care has provided home care services to hundreds of thousands of seniors around the world. The organization’s mission is to maximize quality of life for those receiving care, as well as their families, by keeping seniors safe and independent in their own homes. Home Instead trains its CAREGivers to help seniors and their loved ones effectively manage a variety of health conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, arthritis, diabetes, dementia, Parkinson’s, depression, and more.

M&R Consulting operated two Home Instead franchises located in Maryland. Those franchises have now been transferred to Thomas Point Capital.

Thomas Point Capital is a veteran-owned firm based in Towson. Thomas Point Capital’s acquisition is one of numerous transactions Offit Kurman’s M&A attorneys have helped close in recent months.
