Offit Kurman Boosts Associate Ranks with the Addition of Five Attorneys

Offit Kurman is pleased to welcome five associates to the firm. The new attorneys join the Commercial Litigation, Landlord Representation, Labor & Employment and Family Law practices.

 

Headshot of Attorney Amy CzekalaAmy C. Czekala joins in the firm’s Landlord Representation group in the Tysons Corner office. She focuses her practice on real estate, creditors rights matters and litigation. Ms. Czekala counsels residential and commercial property owners, management companies and landlords, financial institutions and small businesses. She handles pre- and post-sale operations in the foreclosure process, litigations, evictions, bankruptcy and title matters.

Ms. Czekala received her B.A. from Merrimack College and her J.D., Quinnipiac University School of Law.

 

Headshot of Attorney Sarah GoodmanSarah R. Goodman joins the firm’s Labor & Employment group in the Philadelphia office. Ms. Goodman’s practice focuses on federal and state labor and employment investigations, counseling and litigation. She routinely advises public and private employers on workplace matters and employment disputes including wage and hour litigation, discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, and breach of contract claims in federal and state court and before administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Ms. Goodman received her B.A. from Brown University and her J.D. from the Fordham University School of Law.

Headshot of Attorney Emily NerinoEmily Nerino joins the firm’s Family Law group in the Tysons Corner office. Ms. Nerino works with individuals to navigate the complexities of divorce and child custody proceedings, handling matters involving custody orders and arrangements, child support, spousal support and equitable distribution. She works with clients to reach solutions through negotiation, mediation or litigation.

Ms. Nerino received her B.A. from Villanova University and her J.D. from George Mason University.

 

 

Akysia Resper joins the firm’s Landlord Representation group in the Charlotte office. Ms. Resper represents and advises her clients in matters involving civil litigation with an emphasis in landlord-tenant and real estate matters. She also serves as Vice-Chair of the Mecklenburg County Bar Pro Bono and Legal Recruitment Committee, connecting legal volunteers with pro bono opportunities.

Ms. Resper received her B.A. from Fayetteville State University and her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law.
