Offit Kurman Attorney, Shirley Keisler, to Present CLE with Husband, Craig Young, on Domestic Relations & Bankruptcy Law

On Wednesday, March 11, Offit Kurman Attorney Shirley Keisler will present a CLE with her husband, Craig Young, on domestic relations & bankruptcy law. With a focus on the meaning of domestic support obligation as set out in the Bankruptcy Code, attendees and members will be able to gain information regarding the different bankruptcy chapters and the importance of each chapter. They will also be able to take a deep dive into which rights are established in a support/divorce case as it relates to Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy filings, and when you can and/or cannot proceed against a debtor. The major takeaway of this CLE will focus on how to protect and get money for your family law client when the other party files for bankruptcy.
At Offit Kurman, Shirley Keisler practices in the areas of state, interstate, and international family law and is highly experienced in guiding clients through separation and divorce using mediation and, if necessary, litigation.
