Offit Kurman Attorney Kathryn E. Pettit Elected VP of MBCEA Mid-Atlantic Chapter

Plymouth Meeting, PA | February 5, 2019 Kathryn E. Pettit, a construction law attorney with Offit Kurman, has been elected vice president of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Metal Building Contractors & Erectors Association (MBCEA).
Founded in 1968, the MBCEA is dedicated to supporting the professional advancement of the metal buildings industry through educational programs, scholarship opportunities, and networking events for metal building contractors and erectors across the United States. The organization’s Mid-Atlantic Chapter serves and advocates on behalf of MBCEA members in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and Washington, DC.
Ms. Pettit has been involved with the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the MBCEA since 2018. That year, she was voted to serve on the Chapter’s board of directors alongside her fellow Chapter member and Offit Kurman colleague Joshua Quinter.
In her legal practice at Offit Kurman, Ms. Pettit counsels and represents owners, construction managers, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals in all phases of construction projects. She has experience representing clients in disputes arising from a wide array of construction projects in both the private and public sectors. She has litigated numerous construction claims in state and federal court, as well as arbitrations. Ms. Pettit also has extensive experience representing homeowners in suits against the builders of their properties due to building envelope defects, including stucco defects.
