Matthew D. Asbell Moderated CLE Program at the 2022 ABA-IPL Annual Meeting

Matthew D. Asbell, a principal in the firm’s Intellectual Property practice, moderated the session “Reexamining Reexamination (and Expungement): A Practitioner’s Guide to the Early Days of Ex Parte TMA Proceedings” at the American Bar Association Section of Intellectual Property Law’s Spring meeting this April in Washington DC. The program included a discussion of early best practices in relation to new ex parte expungement and reexamination proceedings available under the recently enacted Trademark Modernization Act.

Matthew assists clients in clearing, obtaining, enforcing, and defending trademark rights in the United States and throughout the world. He also advises on patents, copyrights, domain names, and other related areas. Apart from his thriving practice, he is a prolific author, an adjunct professor, and is frequently invited to present on intellectual property topics.
