Linda Ostovitz Sworn in as President of the Rotary Club of Columbia Patuxent

June 28th, 2019 | Columbia, MD Offit Kurman's Linda Ostovitz was sworn in on Friday, June 28th, 2019, as the President of the Rotary Club of Columbia-Patuxent. Past President Alice Ford had very kind words about the club and was recognized for her leadership. Linda is honored to serve her club. The Rotary Club of Columbia-Patuxent was especially welcoming to her when she first arrived, and she plans to be just as gracious to all its new visitors.

"Rotary’s motto is “Service Above Self.” In real life, that means wonderful people doing great things for the community." Linda commented, "I look forward to spending every Friday morning with such inspiring people!"

Chartered in 1986, the members of The Rotary Club of Columbia Patuxent are a diverse group of business and professional leaders from the Columbia and Howard County area who take an active role in their communities while enriching their personal and professional lives.

They volunteer in communities at home and abroad to help those in need, support education and job training, provide clean water, combat hunger and improve the health and lives of so many. They are the county’s largest Rotary club and each year are active in the most service projects. They raise and give money to numerous non-profits. To date, they have contributed over $150,000 to the Rotary Foundation.


In her 38 years of practice, Linda Sorg Ostovitz has served as a leader, educator and advocate. She is a family law attorney and Practice Group Director. Mrs. Ostovitz holds a prestigious fellowship in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and serves as the Vice President of the Maryland Chapter. Linda servers as President of the Rotary Club of Columbia Patuxent. She also serves on the Boards of the Howard County Chamber of Commerce and she is a strong supporter of Gilchrist Hospice. Mrs. Ostovitz represents clients in Howard, Anne Arundel, Carroll, Montgomery, and Baltimore Counties. Her practice focuses exclusively on divorce litigation and mediation, child custody and access, child support, alimony, business valuation, as well as property and asset distribution. In addition to providing legal representation in court, Mrs. Ostovitz provides mediation services to help families come to a resolution without the need for litigation.
