Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law Launches DC Chapter Led By Offit Kurman Attorney Marjorie Just

Washington, DC | March 21, 2019 The Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law is launching a District of Columbia Chapter—with Offit Kurman Family Law attorney Marjorie Just serving as DC Chapter President.

The Coalition of Women’s Initiatives in Law is a nonprofit membership association that brings together law firms, government, and companies of all sizes. Founded in 2008, the Coalition now comprises more than 120 member organizations, reaching thousands of women attorneys. Through networking events, programming, and dynamic speakers, the Coalition aims to educate, support, and promote women attorneys and their careers.

“I’m honored to have the opportunity to connect with and advocate for other women in the legal profession,” said Ms. Just. “This organization is a great way to get to know attorneys with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and practice areas. I look forward to bringing the Coalition’s mission to our thriving legal community here in DC.”

Ms. Just’s practice as a family law attorney focuses on the negotiation, settlement and litigation of complex family law matters in Maryland and DC, including issues of property distribution, custody, child support, alimony, same-sex marriage, and domestic partnerships. She prepares family-related agreements such as, pre-marital agreements, separation agreements, and reproductive agreements. She is also trained as family mediator and Collaborative lawyer.

Other women on the Coalition’s DC Chapter Steering Committee include Amy Epstein Gluck (FisherBroyles, LLP), Nicole Kobrine, (Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP), Lisa Bleier (SIFMA), Merry Campbell (Shulman Rogers), Victoria Ortega (Blank Rome LLP), and Amanda Pedvin Varma (Steptoe & Johnson LLP).

The DC Chapter of the Coalition will be hosting a launch event on April 3, 2019, from 6–8pm at the offices of Katten Muchin Rosenman at 2900 K Street, NW, North Tower, Suite 200.
