Ben Stevens, Principal Attorney in the Family Law division of Offit Kurman, was pleased to speak at the State Bar of Arizona's Annual Convention this week. Family law was just one of the many topics covered at the convention, which finally returned to an in-person format post-COVID. The theme this year was "Reconnect. Recharge. Reimagine." and Mr. Stevens was happy to be asked to present on how family law attorneys can reimagine how they approach handling their caseloads in a post-COVID world.

Ben was just one of several speakers for the Family Law Section. One of his co-speakers was Bill Eddy, LCSW, Esquire of the High Conflict Institute. Ben frequently recommends Bill's books to his clients who are facing high conflict divorce or child custody cases as wonderful resources with tons of advice on how best to handle the emotional and stressful situations that are so common for litigants in family court. Some of his favorite books to recommend are BIFF for CoParent Communication and Don't Alienate the Kids, but really any resource found on the High Conflict Institute website is beneficial for those involved in family court litigation.

All in all, the State Bar of Arizona Family Law section put on a wonderful seminar, and Ben was honored to have been given the opportunity to take part and present to the family law attorneys of Arizona. Ben is a well-respected authority on Family Law who practices in South Carolina. He has been a featured speaker at state, national, and international conferences and regularly serves as a resource for media when important news involves family law, divorce, or child custody.
