Ted Offit is a business attorney, co-founder of Offit Kurman Attorneys At Law and Chairman of the firm. He serves as general counsel to a significant list of privately held organizations and often serves in an advisory capacity to the board of directors of the firm's entrepreneurial clientele. He often serves as special counsel to businesses seeking to implement succession plans through a sale (merger and acquisition) or through transfers to affiliates (family members and employees). Mr. Offit also often serves as special counsel regarding the design and implementation of compensation plans for executive level staff.

Lisa Kloster has 30 years of professional experience in finance, accounting, business administration, and human resources, as well as in auditing and consulting. She spent the last 14 years as Chief Financial Officer of Pace Harmon Inc., an employee-owned management consulting firm, where she was part of the executive leadership responsible for the strategic direction of the firm and all financial, operational, and HR- related matters, including the ultimate sale of the company. Lisa was formerly an Audit Partner with PricewaterhouseCoopersLLP. She led audits of both publicly held and private companies and managed teams of accountants and consultants on long-term, complex projects. Lisa is a CPA who graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Russell Berger is a business counselor serving the needs of small and mid-sized businesses as an outside general counsel and as a labor and employment attorney. John Hurley is an Executive Director with Offit Kurman. With more than 30 years of business development, marketing, and operations experience in the legal, management consulting and technology industries, he is responsible for ensuring smooth operations throughout the firm. Tony Gerdes guides Offit Kurman’s Learning and Development Department. A skillful educator with over 15 years of experience, Tony is responsible for creating training content, marketing new initiatives and rollouts, and delivering technology training and professional growth opportunities. He also administers the firm’s learning management system, Offit Kurman University. In addition, Tony serves as a Contributing Member of LTC4 (the Legal Technology Core Competencies Certification Coalition).

Sherry Jones is the Chief Legal Operations Officer for Offit Kurman and is responsible for managing the timekeeper performance, including revenue growth, production, and practice group support. She works closely with the Office of Management Principal (Practice of Law Division), the Growth of Law Division and other Department Directors to ensure consistency in management activities, effective performance and results, and close collaboration between the Business of Law, Practice of Law and Growth Divisions.

Mr. Raftery is the firm’s Managing Principal and heads the Office of Managing Principal. The Office of Managing Principal is responsible for the management of the firm’s Practice of Law Division focusing on practice group management and performance, timekeeper performance and morale, cross referrals, quality assurance / quality control, marketing, and organic growth.
In addition to Mr. Raftery’s Managing Principal responsibilities, his law practice focuses on real estate and discrimination litigation, contractual and business disputes, and representation of managers and owners of residential and commercial real estate, including negotiating and drafting management and vendor agreements, leases, tenant-workout agreements, and policies and procedures for residential fair-housing compliance. Mr. Raftery is a recognized industry leader in handling real estate and construction claims, mold and pest-infestation claims, business torts, and the defense of discrimination (Fair Housing Act and employment related) claims.

Sam is a seasoned Human Resources executive with a proven track record in strategic employee management and developing, implementing, and aligning scalable HR programs to address and solve business problems. In his 25 years of experience, he has supported a wide variety of industries including retail, medical, automotive, travel, finance, distribution, and legal.
Sam brings key experience and unique perspectives from time spent in HR management at a former #1 ranked Fortune Magazine Best 100 Company, as senior change management lead at a multinational management consulting company, and most recently as the head of HR for a portfolio company of a private investment firm focused on the specialty materials and chemicals.
Sam is passionate about HR and believes that excellence can be achieved only through a deeply collaborative and focused human resource delivery process at all levels of an organization.
Sam holds both a BA in Communication and an MBA from the State University of New York University at Buffalo. Sam is an active and accredited Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Senior Certified Professional from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM-SCP).
