Timothy R. Willman is a member of Offit Kurman’s Commercial Litigation practice group. In his practice, Timothy assists in all phases of litigation in state and federal courts. These actions include fact investigation, drafting initial pleadings, discovery, taking and defending depositions, motions practice, trial, post-trial matters and appeal. Timothy has participated in both judicial and non-judicial settlement negotiations and mediations, draft settlement agreements and releases. His experience also includes drafting various motions, dispositive motions and briefs which focus on contract law, intellectual property law, constitutional law and commercial law. Timothy assists commercial landlords with COVID-related re-negotiation of lease terms and drafted letters to commercial tenants enforcing lease compliance.
Timothy’s experience in the practice of environmental and sustainability law includes advising clients regarding environmental issues, representing clients throughout the pre-litigation phase and representing clients in active lawsuits. He also has experience providing legal counsel to corporate clients with respect to environmental issues and has advised environmental clients regarding compliance with applicable laws, the process of responding to the subpoenas issued by state and federal regulators, conducting employee interviews to evaluate potential liability, conducting site visits and taking other necessary steps to ensure compliance with environmental laws to mitigate any potential client exposure. Timothy also represents clients in lawsuits in multiple states involving claims brought by state and federal regulators alleging violations of environmental laws, including CERCLA.
