Robin C. Gilden is a seasoned attorney in the firm’s Business Law and Transactions Practice Group with extensive experience in various domains of law and taxation. Her multifaceted role encompasses a wide array of legal areas, including wealth and tax wealth planning, employee benefits, international tax, business transactions tax, tax controversies, corporate matters, and healthcare-related matters. Her areas of specialization encompass mergers and acquisitions, partnership tax, lifetime enhancement strategies and executive compensation, with a focus on Section 409A compliance.
Notably, Robin has experience with two Fortune 100 companies, having worked for National Medical Enterprises (now Tenet Healthcare) and serving as the director of taxes at AlliedSignal (now known as Honeywell).
In addition to her corporate achievements, Robin has been a dedicated educator. For seven years, she served as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School, where she imparted knowledge in advanced partnership tax as part of the Tax LL.M program.

- Offered counsel to a client and composed various settlement documents pertaining to a settlement of a lawsuit involving well over $250 million worth of commercial real estate holdings.
- Advised the ensemble of a long-standing television series regarding the restructuring of their talent contracts to align with the requirements of Section 409A of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as revised.
- Guided a client on the structural aspects of asset sales for an insurance brokerage business within the context of a divorce judgment resolution.
- Furnished expert tax and corporate guidance regarding the sale of shares in a specialty medical supply distributor and its subsequent integration into a private equity fund valued at over $100 million.
