Paige Vankooten is an attorney in Offit Kurman’s Business Law & Transactions practice group. She represents and advises both small and large businesses. Ms. Vankooten assists her clients by advising on the initial structure of their entity, drafting employment contracts, leases, and any other business-related contract needs. Additionally, Ms. Vankooten advises her clients in the sale and purchase of their respective business or merger by negotiating letters of intent, terms of the sale, and drafting purchase agreements and ancillary documents. Ms. Vankooten strategically negotiates transactions and deal closings which range up to $80 million. Ms. Vankooten also assists clients with their estate planning needs.
Having worked for the North Carolina Administrative Office of the Courts as a Judicial Fellow, Ms. Vankooten is very knowledgeable about the workings of the court system. In that capacity, she served as a law clerk for the 370 trial court judges across North Carolina. Additionally, Ms. Vankooten clerked at the North Carolina Business Court during law school for both Judge Gale in Greensboro and Judge Bledsoe in Charlotte. Ms. Vankooten also served as Law Clerk for the Honorable Justice Barbara Jackson at the North Carolina Supreme Court.
