Melinda McBeth is a litigator whose focus is representing landlords and property management companies in matters that relate to residential and commercial real property. In addition to actively litigating housing matters such as breaches of lease, tenant holding over, nonpayment of rent and rent escrow, Melinda advises clients on a wide range of issues including lease construction, fair housing disputes, administrative agency complaints, breach of contract defense and civil litigation. She hosts periodic, free webinars regarding changes to state and local law, trending topics in multifamily residential housing and best practices for anyone who rents property in Maryland.
Before transitioning to landlord/tenant law, she spent several years as a criminal attorney, defending clients in juvenile delinquency, serious traffic, misdemeanor and felony matters across Maryland. Melinda is an experienced trial lawyer with over a decade of practice before the Maryland Courts.
