Jason Powell is an associate attorney in the firm’s Construction Law practice group. Jason is a commercial litigation attorney with an emphasis on construction law, representing owners, contractors, and subcontractors on both public and private projects in construction matters and construction litigation in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This includes matters involving construction contracts, bidding disputes, payment claims, defect and delay claims, indemnification and insurance issues, mechanics’ liens, and joint ventures.
Jason has represented clients before various courts, including Courts of Common Pleas, the Superior Court of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. He has also represented clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings before the American Arbitration Association and before administrative agencies, including matters before the Pennsylvania Board of Claims.
Jason is experienced in all phases of litigation, including trials, mediation, arbitration, discovery, motion practice, settlement negotiation, and appeals. This includes both federal and state trials involving various contract and business tort claims. He actively works with his clients in business planning, contract negotiation, project consulting, risk management, and dispute resolution.
