Daniel A. Jenkins is an attorney in Offit Kurman’s Estates and Trusts Practice Group. Daniel is admitted to practice in the State of North Carolina and focuses his practice in areas of business, tax and estate planning. He drafts and reviews estate planning for high-net-worth clients, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, trust amendments and will codicils. Daniel has significant experience representing executors in estate administrations and drafting pleadings for estate proceedings. His work includes advising clients of planning and fiduciary issues, interpreting the transfer tax effects of the estate documents and drafting estate plans.
As a founding executive of Greenbook financial services company, Daniel established policies and procedures for cash management, accounting, budgeting, risk management, human resources, employee benefits and tax compliance. He reviewed and advised on contracts and advised the board of directors and CEO on tax consequences of contemplated transactions and the legality of financial product offerings. Daniel has extensive experience in solving complex death settlement issues. He ensures that the estate or trust accounts are managed in compliance with the governing documents as well as bank policy and procedure.
