Dani Schwartz is a principal attorney in the firm’s Commercial Litigation practice group. Dani's practice focuses on all manner of real estate, business, and blockchain/ crypto disputes. With a reputation for crafting creative strategies and solutions to challenging legal problems, he is particularly skilled at transforming complex business disputes into clear, compelling stories to achieve his client's objectives. Dani brings innovative thinking to every situation and has litigated cutting-edge cases and appeals.
An experienced negotiator, Dani has also obtained many victories for his clients at the settlement table without the need for lengthy litigation. He handles the full range of real estate disputes, including commercial landlord/tenant matters; commercial mortgage foreclosure (lender and borrower side); condominium and cooperative matters; construction, development, and access disputes; and breach of contract, fraud, fiduciary duty, partnership, and business disputes.
In addition to his litigation practice, Dani is on the American Arbitration Association's panel of commercial arbitrators and is a member of the pool of arbitrators for the International Court of Arbitration for Art. He has been appointed as sole, chair, or wing arbitrator in more than 60 arbitrations and served as Co-Chair of the New York State Bar Association’s Arbitration Committee for three consecutive years.
Dani is a frequently invited speaker at real estate and arbitration events and has given dozens of lectures and published widely on an array of legal topics.
