Ahmad Ahmadzai is an associate in the firm’s Real Estate practice group. Prior to joining Offit Kurman, Ahmad assisted senior counsel in Borrower-side representation for New Market Tax Credits (NMTC) transactions and Developer-side representation for Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) transactions. Currently, Ahmad assists with general real estate matters, in which he primarily represents entities and individuals in various positions such as borrowers, lenders, buyers, sellers and franchisees/franchisors. Ahmad has assisted senior counsel in drafting and negotiating primary loan documents, title and survey clearance, third-party agreements for purchases, refinances and change ownership or operation transactions for multifamily apartment complexes and assisted living facilities. He now currently works with our Principals in Real Estate transactions focused on commercial leasing and the hospitality industry. After receiving his B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and his J.D. from Howard University School of Law, Ahmad received his L.L.M. in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.
