Offit Kurman Enhances Real Estate and Transactions Practice with Additions of Barry Crane and Brad Jacobs

BETHESDA, MD – (September 1, 2023) – Offit Kurman is pleased to welcome Principals Barry Crane and Brad Jacobs to the firm’s Real Estate and Transactions practice group.

Barry Crane is a resident in the firm’s East Hanover office. He serves clients in New York and New Jersey, providing strategic legal counsel. In Real Estate Law, Barry handles commercial and residential transactions, leases, financing and construction projects. In Business Law, his experience spans asset transfers, mergers, service agreements, liquor licensing and business formation and governance.

Barry is also skilled in litigating disputes, including debt collection, creditors’ rights enforcement and foreign-judgment domestications.

He received his B.A. from Rutgers University and his J.D., cum laude, from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.

Brad M. Jacobs is a resident in the firm’s New York office. He handles numerous residential and commercial real estate transactions, including lending and financing. Brad is well-versed in 1031 exchanges commercial leasing and serves as counsel for unsold shares. He also manages estate sales and provides tax and estate planning advice related to acquisitions and sales.

Brad is a frequent lecturer on real estate topics, certified for broker education and a sought-after speaker at title insurance companies and real estate firms. He’s a faculty member at the New York Institute for Continuing Education where he lectures on real estate and trust and estate matters. He actively participates in webinars discussing New York City real estate at the George Washington University Center for Real Estate and Urban Analysis.

He earned his B.A. from George Washington University and his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
