Offit Kurman Strengthens Landlord Representation Practice with Accomplished Attorneys Jill Kane and Kevin Kane

BETHESDA, (May 25, 2023) – Offit Kurman is pleased to announce the addition of Jill Kane and Kevin Kane as principals, expanding its esteemed Landlord Representation group. Both attorneys will be based in the firm’s Bethesda office, bringing their wealth of experience and legal acumen to serve clients in the real estate industry.

Jill Kane brings experience in managing breach notices for all non-monetary breaches of lease, lease termination notices and barring notices. With a proven track record as a trial attorney, she has navigated possessory actions related to non-payment of rent, unauthorized occupants, drug use, housekeeping, criminal activity, tenant holding over and more. Her comprehensive legal counsel also extends to daily operational challenges faced by landlords. Ms. Kane holds a B.S. from Syracuse University and a J.D. from Catholic University of America.

Complementing the team, Kevin Kane offers counsel to local, regional and national property owners for their operation legal needs. With a notable portfolio of over 500,000 cases involving possession of real property, Mr. Kane’s expertise includes tenant delinquency mitigation, possessory actions for non-payment of rent, breach of lease, tenant holding over and forcible entry and detainer matters. He also handles rent escrows, tenant assertions, security deposit disputes and fair housing act compliance matters. Mr. Kane holds a B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.
