Offit Kurman Expands Corporate and Litigation Services in New York with Notable Principals Lydia Ferrarese and Mark A. Weissman

NEW YORK (May 23, 2023) – Offit Kurman is pleased to announce the additions of Lydia Ferrarese and Mark A. Weissman as principals in the firm’s New York office. Formerly practicing at Herzfeld + Rubin in New York, they join Offit Kurman’s Business Law & Transactions practice and Business & Commercial Litigation practice, respectively.

 

Professional headshot of Attorney Lydia FerrareseLydia Ferrarese brings her expertise in representing publicly and privately held companies, particularly Italian and European businesses, in complex business litigation. Her advisory skills encompass a wide range of areas, including corporate structuring, shareholder and operating agreements, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts.

Ferrarese has extensive experience in depositions and has been involved in conducting sophisticated written and electronic discovery, including cases involving international parties and compliance with the Hague Service and Hague Evidence Conventions.

Fluent in Italian, she earned her LL.M. in corporate, banking and finance law from Fordham University School of Law and her J.D. equivalent from the University of Bologna in Bologna, Italy.

Weissman handles complex matters in federal and state courts, including business disputes, media and intellectual property litigation, and commercial litigation, and has significant experience defending consumer class actions. He represents and advises clients across various industries throughout the entire legal process, from the pre-trial level up to appeal.  Weissman also represents businesses and individuals involved in white-collar criminal and regulatory investigations, along with related civil actions.

Mark Weissman holds a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where he served as a Senior Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review, and his B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, from New York University.
