Offit Kurman Names Four Principals to Practice Group Leader Roles

Offit Kurman is pleased to announce the appointment of four new practice group leaders.

 

Brian Dorwin, Chair, Landlord Representation

Brian Dorwin focuses his practice on real estate law, including residential and commercial landlord-tenant litigation, Fair Housing Act compliance and regulatory compliance. He has experience in complex construction litigation, discrimination defense, commercial and residential lease-ups, and alternative dispute resolution.  In addition to civil litigation, Mr. Dorwin also regularly assists owners of commercial and residential properties in administrative litigation at the DC Office of Administrative Hearings.

 

 

 

C. Lawrence “Larry” Holmes, Chair, Commercial Litigation North

Larry Holmes principally represents finance lease companies and other institutional clients. His previous work has included pivotal cases that have impacted Pennsylvania law governing Finance Leases and Insurance. He has successfully argued appeals before both the Superior and Supreme Courts of Pennsylvania and has represented clients in numerous trial courts in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and as pro hac vice counsel in many other jurisdictions. Mr. Holmes also speaks regularly on legal and ethical issues in Continuing Legal Education courses. Additionally, Mr. Holmes holds elective office as the President of the Board of Commissioners of Haverford Township, Delaware County, Pennsylvania, serving his fifth term as a Commissioner of the Sixth Ward.

Greg Sutton, Chair, Business Law & Transactions – Mergers & Acquisitions

Greg Sutton manages a large and diverse corporate and transactional practice, with specific expertise in M&A, securities offerings, venture capital financings, and emerging growth company representations.  He represents clients of all sizes throughout the growth cycle, from the formation and financings of new companies to exit events, including sale transactions and initial public offerings, all across a wide range of industries and market segments. Mr. Sutton also serves as outside general counsel for many of his clients, advising management teams on a wide range of legal issues in a practical, business-oriented manner.
